Applying to study at CQ TAFE

CQ TAFE courses/programs provide relevant, cutting edge skills that can help you get into the workplace faster, upgrade your existing skills, or prepare you for further study. Some training programs may have specific entry requirements such as:

Students wishing to study with CQ TAFE must be a minimum of 15 years of age at the time of program commencement.  If you are under 15 years of age, you must apply for special permission from the Institute Director, which is only granted in exceptional circumstances.  Certain programs may require adult entry (18 years of age or older).  The course you choose will generally determine how you apply to study at CQ TAFE.

Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas

Applications for full-time Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas are made directly to the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) before 30 September each year.  Late applications incur a fee which is payable directly to QTAC.

Certificates

Applications for Certificate programs can be made directly to CQ TAFE.

Short courses

Applications for short courses can be made directly to CQ TAFE.

Regardless of educational background, you are encouraged to enquire about admission into a training package or program by calling the Customer Contact Centre on 1300 CQ TAFE (1300 27 8233) or visiting a Customer Service Centre at your nearest campus.
